Welcome to Eden FM Radio
Eden FM is a community radio station based in Penrith, Cumbria, set in the Eden Valley on the edge of the northern area of the Lake District.
The campaign for the community radio station was launched in June 2010 and studios were switched on in November 2011.
Eden FM is currently a full time 24 hour Internet station, having completed three 28 day trial RSL's (Restricted Service Licenses) on an FM frequency in November - December 2011, June - July 2012 and November - December 2012.
Eden FM applied to Ofcom for a full time community radio licence on an FM frequency in the recent community radio licensing: third round for the North East of England and Cumbria.
With application submitted in January 2013, Eden FM is now waiting to hear if its campaign has been successful.
The Eden FM campaign, and its ability to be an Internet station running 24 hours a day, would not be possible without its dedicated volunteers, supporting community groups, advertisers and sponsors - who we are indebted to.
